23/04/2007 - CHAMPIONIESSSSS

We won the league by haloween (un-officially), but now we can officially say WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.

When big JVOH nodded the ball in on the 23rd min it should have been an easy day, we were playing flowing football (with the exception of Graveson, who was playing his own game), John Kennedy was outstanding as was young O'dea. The first half was the sort of football we have been looking forward to for the last month or two.

Being Celtic football club we don't like making it easy for ourselves, so we had to let Colin Nish of Kilmarnock get a goal early in the second half as we have let other players of other clubs do so often this season, to tell you the truth we played better last season but won the league by a lesser margin its just that all the other teams in the SPL are or were playing utter rubbish this season, not taking anything away from great players like Naka or McGeady etc.

The game went on into injury time and I, like Jo, our minutes secertary at the club had a gut feeling that we'd score (which is why I jumped up when Naka got fouled for the FK), Jo even had a bet on it with another member for a whole pound (hey big spender, hope you put the lotto on Jo).

Then it happened Shunsuke Nakamura stepped up in his usual 90 degree angle from the ball, he ran up to it with confidence, struck it with that left peg the ball seemed to stay in the air for an eternity, it bounces on the line and ripples into the net (I'm getting good at this)............pause for 2 seconds........... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YAAAAAAAAA BEAUTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY could be heard all over Tooting, London, England, Scotland F**k it the world. It was a better feeling than scoring against the huns and thats saying something, I've never hugged so many people in my life, I was shaking. I was sitting at the front of the back room with my Dad, I took a pause for 30 seconds and stood up and looked behind it seemed like there was thousands of people in that room and I thought to myself this is what supporting Celtic is all about. Thank You all.

CHAMPIONIESSSSSSSS

HAIL! HAIL!
