16/05/2007 - Scott Brown?
I know it seems like an eternity ago (simply because we've played utter rubbish since then), but back in January we were reportedly offering £4million for both Kevin Thompson and Scott Brown, which sounded reasonable for two up and coming players who have made a big impact at a club like Hibernian. The question was could they make it at either of the old firm clubs?
Kevin Thompson decided a move to 'THEM' would help his career (hahahahaha), haven't really heard his name since his January move, and it has been well publicised that he wanted his best pal Scotty Brown to join him in that pit somewhere in Rab C country. Once again this season Celtic have surprised us in what seems like someone got the price wrong at the checkout at iceland, Gordon got to the front of the que and said WIT! £4.4million? he wis haf the price 4 months ago pal, and John Collins sitting behind the check-out rubbing his hands, thinking I can pick up 20 young Edinburgh lads for that, say they are good and sell them all for £4.4million next season!!!!.
In my opinion Peter Lawell is behind every transfer the club has had over the last couple of seasons, and every press meeting with a new player, he takes a little box out of the the cupboard and out pops Gordon Strachan and Mr Lawell does a wee Ventrillaquist act, the reason I say this is because every meeting its the same babble from Strachan 'thanks to the board' *kiss kiss* and Peter Lawell takes over as if to say shut up Gordon I'm the BOSS and then starts rambling on as if he knows something about football!!!
The one good thing thats come out of this transfer is Tweedle dee and tweedle dumb (walter & ally) are furious that we got 'their man'. We should bring back that great chant of 'ALLY CANNAE TAKE IT'
As I said about Scott Mcdonald, I hope i'm wrong but is Scott Brown celtic class? is he woth £4.4million? are we gonna sign every SPL player that makes the back page?
